DIY: 02-06 Camry Mud Flap Installation *Pics Intensive*

I nor ToyotaNation.com are responsible for any damages caused to your vehicle when following the information provided.

So it's starting to rain up here in the Bay Area so I wanted to install mud flaps to keep the dirty rain stain on the car after driving to a minimum and further to protect the underside and bumper from rock chips.

I bought the OEM mud flap from TRDToyotaparts.com. The package came with all the necessary crews, clips and instruction for installation.

The tools you will need are: a Philip screwdriver, 10mm socket, 8mm drill bit and a drill.
Optional tool : masking tape, sharpie and a 3mm drill bit.

First unbolt all four wheels, then jack the car up and put it on jack stands. We will install the two front wheels mud flaps first as it required no drilling.

Next remove the two old screws on the fender and replace it with the one that came with the package. Also there is a hole under the body that we need to put a clip in as well.

Now just line up the mud flap to the clips and screw them in.

For the rear, we will need to drill two 8mm hole into the back bumper's fender.

First we need to line up the mud flap to the rear fender until as desire and then use the Sharpie to mark it for drilling.

But first we will use a 3mm drill bit to drill and then follow up with the 8mm.

After that we use the two metal clips and clip them in between the holes we just drilled.

There is also a hole under the rear bumper that we need to put a clip in as well.

Now all that is left is line up the mud flap to the clips and bolt them in with the 10mm socket.

Finished product.

Nice DIY! You might wanna splash a little zinc-based paint on the drilled holes to prevent corrosion.
