I needed new turn signals and saw these in a magazine and decided to try them out. The bulbs are bluish purpleish and greenish but lights up hyper amber, so i thought they looked interesting. Cost about $20 bucks. Theyll look best with a clear turn signal, heres a pic. Theyre good cuz you get that blue look without resorting to ricey blue xenon ones and run the risk of getting pulled over for not having amber turn signal bulbs (these are 100% street legal).
i just put those lights on my gen4.5 and i love em. i've got the clear corners, and was gettin tired of the amber colored bulbs. so i finally broke down and spent the 20 bones on the bulbs. kinda expensive but i must say that i am extremly happy with them though. no more amber reflection in my corners but they still light up amber, best $20 i spent in a long time.
I have been using something called APC titans' for about a year! (similar concept...they are chrome bulbs by look by light up amber) i have used them for my inspections and they weren't any problems!
yea i have some titan bulbs taht are gonna go in soon, but i heard that the color on those turns brown after a while, have you noticed that with your bulbs?

I've had the APC titans in my WRX for a while... the amber color is pretty dark (orange), but so is the chrome color - its really hard to tell they are amber when they are off. I haven't noticed any difference in color since they were new, and I've had them for about a year.

^ You can get the headlight bulbs but can you get the turn sig bulbs? They've been out for a while but I haven't seen them on the shelves anywhere yet.

yea the only place i found them was at o'reilys autoparts for 20 bones. ill try to get a night picture up soon, tony
hey dont the chrome bulbs diminish the brightness of the bulbs??? i had chrome xenon white ones before, and they SUCKED, werent bright at all and couldnt tell if they were on or not at night. i had to remove the chrome paint off with thinner for the light to start coming through.
i bought bulbs from mtx or something, amber with a silver cap on it. my clear lens appear clear w/o any color at all, but lights up orange. of course this is no longer a concern since i smoked out my lenses pretty dark.
