. . . and I'd just like to reiterate that it's an AWESOME resource. Definitely a must-have if you're a DIYer, want to know more about your car, or want to know how much work goes into something. I picked mine up on a whim, and I've already read a ton of it.
well.. i dont know about you guys, but i find it useless.
I have one, it's good for a first timer, well me but I'm still not satisfied. There is only general information, when you really wanna know how to replace stuff you just gotta guess.
I know other cars are covered more in depth compared to camry....

^ hmmm, what are you trying to do that it doesn't cover in depth?
I think it's awesome, from it, I learnt how to change my rotors and pads, clean my neutral safety switch, learn all the torque settings for my car, remove my stereo, headlights, seats....the list goes on. It's told me how to clean my throttle body, what the fluid capacities are, how to check my A/C...heck, I even found out how to wire up my A/F gauge from the electrical diagrams. Oh, it's also helped me wire up my alarm....
What stuff do you want to replace? I found it better than Chiltons.
I don't know maybe I have some differenet manual. I tried to take off my shifter, I couldn't find anything in the manual. I had to search here to get the info i needed. Then, I think my tail lights where messed up I wanted to look something up, couldn't find it either. Well tail lights are nothing, I took them off in 5 sec Mmm.. what else...
EDIT: Oh, and I had few questions about exhuast, they didn't give much info about that either... I guess everything else they got covered, except few details

Haynes is by far better than Chiltons IMO. Especially the wiring diagrams.
There are a few little quirks, for example:
In the door panel removal section the way they show to pry on the inner door handle surround (Chapter 11, fig 13.2) is not how the part releases, if you pry that way you'll break it.
In the clutch and driveaxle section, they tell you to remove the allen bolts from the inner CV joint to remove the shaft (Chapter 8, fig 10.6), while it is FAR EASIER to pull the whole assembly out and then take it apart, it would have saved me about 2 hours of work if I hadn't tried to dissassemble it under the car.
Chapter 1, fig 19.2 is upside down.
Is it still a good reference? Yes, I'd say so.
Is it worth the price? You bet, it's worth every penny.

They both suck compared to factory (Toyota) service manuals though.
Another awesome option is the online version of the Toyota manual, at techinfo.toyota.com. Under any of the three pricing options (any of which will allow you to download more than you'll probably ever need), you get access to not only the manuals (all cars) but also the TSBs, owners manuals, and other related pubs. Most critically, though, at least IMO, they are all searchable adding a dimension that's just not there in the paper manuals. Finally, you go into a project with printouts (if you want) of just what you need, not a whole manual.

You're dead on man...
I have the Chilton, it sucks, but at the Englishtown car show/swap meet I found the 1987 Camry service manual by Toyota- 60 bucks to get it from 'yota but I picked it up for $10! Best find of the day...
