Recently, while I was depinstripping my gen3, I noticed the power locks clicking.
They were repeatedly and a bit speraticaly locking on their own while the car was off. Now today I pulled out of a parking lot into traffic and they started doing it again! It seems to do it a several times speratically for a minute and then its fine.
The last thing I installed or did was a 1farad cap and a Optima Yellow Top and wired my corners to the blinkers per the camry faq thread but all that was quite some time ago and this is a recent development.
Anybody got any ideas?

My '94 door locks would unlock everytime I turned on the car. I took it to the dealer for some other stuff, and asked them about it. The guy said that most likely the wires in the door were getting old and spasing out a bit. Then he said it would cost at least $250 to diagnose the problem, so just deal with it. I didn't notice it happening when the car was off though. . .
Id get the wiring checked out, mine did that but then i realized when i was washing the car i was leaning on the lock and unlock button of the remote lol
I had the exact same problem 6 months ago, the door locks would lock and unlock repeatedly for a few minutes. It turned out since we had alot of rain, water got into the electrical wiring for the central locking
It may be a ECU melfuntion. Your car is set-up to lock the doors after going above 15mph. There my be a problem causing it to not know that it has done so, and thus, it does it repeatively.
It might also be that the fuse is going out.
(and I'm not going to be the third person to tell you to check the wires )

i replied to ur same question on the sc3 site.
My celica did that...remidy was the tighten the screws on the silver thing on the body that latches the door when closed/open. That solved my problem...but then again...my car had an aftermarket alram that closed/open the locks when driving/shitting down.
Camry's do not come with automatic locking unless it's configured as part of your alarm/keyless entry system.
I've only seen Cadillacs (DeVilles) and Chryslers (Neon, Caravan/Voyager) that come with automatic locking from the factory (Cadillac as soon as you shift into D, Chrysler after you pass about 15 mph)
