As the thread title says how did you aquire you Camry?? Was it handed down from someone in your family, bought for the newspaper or an ad somewhere, bought off a lot??
Personally I got my '95 LE I4 off a Toyota dealership as a graduation present from H.S. in Jun '02. It was "supposedly" just brought in that day when my dad and I went looking for a car for me. It had 56,xxx miles on it when I drove it home that day. Bought it for I think around $8,000. My dad put $4,000 down as a present, and i'm paying about 75% of the monthly payment each month.
Whats you Camry story??

I bought my camry just about 2 yrs ago, end of march 2002
I got it off the lot Sunrise Toyota, parents gave me 3 grand towards it, put down a total of 10 grand, and i am paying off the other 5 over 3 yrs, 1 more year to go on my payments
parents bought it for me cuz we needed another car in the family. My work was about 10 miles away and the bus can't go there.
So, it was between a 95 Honda Accord 2 door 5 speed or the camry that I have right now. I wanted the honda cuz Honda was the thing that was "in" during 98. BUT, my parents ended up getting the Camry cuz it was more reliable.
Bought it in spring of 98.
Anyways, haven't looked back. My car has been winning awards and getting coverage. My gen 3 is the most recognized in the Import Scene.

My dad bought it used a few years ago, when he retired from his job (he used a car from his job because he was a supervisor). It was imported from Florida.
On september 2003 he bought a used 1995 Lexus LS400 and sent the car to a friend's dealer to see if he would be able to sell it. In January I got my license and I asked him to make a deal with me. I would go get the car from the dealer, and keep it clean and stuff and put a "FOR SALE" sign on it, and he said it was ok.
When I got home with the car on January he told me "move your car" and I asked him "who's car?" and he said "dumbass, it's yours". It was a great day indeed.
Wrecked my 88' Buick Skyhawk (skyhawk, not skylark. 0-60 in only 35 sec.). Baught it from my uncle. He needed a new work car. When he sold it to me, KBB rated it at $4500. So he sold it to me for $1500. WHAT A STEAL!! Leather, CD, Moonroof. Hit the jackpot on that one.

5-speed baby!
I was looking to buy my first car, and knew I wanted a stick no matter what.
My dad and I looked at a few auctions (nothing good), and some cars in ads, but they all sucked. Stuff like a 1993 Accord with 160,000 miles for $4,000.
Then, one day, we saw an ad for a 1997 Camry CE V6 5-speed. We went to the dealer (used car lot) and asked to see the car. Guy said the lady had it, so we went to her work and took it for a test drive. She worked in a medical office (so not some skanky crank whore that didn't have a clue), the car looked good, and 24 hours later, we agreed on $6,000 (~74,000 miles) and that was that. I paid for it myself, so no parents helping. Same with insirance and gas, my issue. Pisses me off considering I got a $10,000 scholarship for college...
Anyway, when I bought the car, I DID NOT KNOW HOW TO DRIVE A STICK!!! I spent $6,000 on a car, and never drove it! But within a few days, I knew how to drive it well enought to get to work and back. Within a month, I was fairly comforatable (but still didn't like hills and traffic). Now, I have absolutly no fear on driving a stick (but steep hills and people 1' off my bumper still piss me off! I just use the e-brake)
Anyway, 1 year and about 6,000 miles later, no problems. My first mod arrived (rear sway bar) today, and I hope to have the car for a long while.

my parents originally got it so they could use it for work, but then ended up letting me use it for school and work. I started to use it more and more often, next thing you know the car is mine. My parents ended up getting a '04 Jeep Laredo and my dad also ended up picking himself up a '04 Ford Exlorer Travel Van.
