Speedometer Poblem

I installed the Indiglo Gauges yesterday, and everything was fine. When I left school today around 3, the RPM needle won't move, and the MPH needle kind jumps all the way to the speed I'm going at, or just doesn't move.

I'm guessin they somehow got de-magnetized or something. How could that happen? If that's the reason for this, what can I do?

You might have messed up a spring, i did similar when i installed my glow guages, now my gas isnt as acurate, a full tank is just past 3 qtrs, go check to see if the needle rubs on the guage itself, if so tape the guage down so its sits flush.

See if that helps

I checked the needles before closing everything, it's already taped and it didn't rub anywhere.

I had this problem. I pulled the needles off, and lightly put them on. If they are pushed on too tight, they won't move. You barely have to put them on. Also, if the indiglo gauges are bubbling up near the needle base, it will rub and the needles won't move either.

I fixed it today.

The needles were rubbing with the gauges. It looks like the tape I used was pretty cheap, haha.
