Quick question (Chiltons no help if you don't know what your looking at)

What is this, and can I remove/relocate it?

(Chilton manuals are worthless if you don't even know what it is related to)

oh yeah, i believe there are two on the Gen3's if im not mistaken. One as you shown behind the grill and one underneath the right-side headlight, youll see if you remove the bumper. I saw it the last time i removed the bumper on my car .
im not sure if it is in a different location for the V6's though.

Ok, I just need to move it. I'm putting a blue neon that will light up the grille. I just don't want that to show up. I thought it was the horn, but there was no listing in my Chilton index. Thanks a lot man. Got all I need.

The other horn is buried? Damn, this car is getting harder. Replace those sickly horns with something like Hellas, or dig some out of a scrapped mercedes/beemer. Sick to have a car that beeps. Especially if they are old. kinda sound like 'meeeeeeep'

Yeah, there are two horns for my 92 V6. It's buried in there but I if you stick your hand right behind your right headlight, you can disconnect it. I did so I could add in a nice Freeway Blaster horn that plays in the key of G.

You should be able to extend the wire with just some basic 18 awg wire. There's two wires going to it, so I don't think the horn needs to be bolted to a ground...but just test it out.

Cool, thanks Henry. If I relocate it lower behind the bumper, do you think the sound will echo weird? I have been trying to figure that out. Cause it would be right behind the steal portion of the bumper.

just get a good ground on the metal base when you move it, or it wont work cause i think its just a 1 wire horn, with the gound as the bracket.

Mines two wires. I checked it the other day after I found out it was the horn. Making plans to move it. But I think I already have a spot lined up for it. And it will work as a ground either way.

Question still standing... Do you think the sound will echo if it is behind the metal portion of the bumper?
