98 Camry V6:
194hp/209 lb-ft
roughly 3200lbs

95 Maxima V6:
190hp/205lb-ft
rougly 3100lbt

In other words, VERY CLOSE.
Driver skill could be a serious advantage.
I checked some ET registries and it's likely that the Camry would win by a small margin with identical drivers.

Motor Trend did a test
98 LE v6 15.5 sec.

I could not find a Motor Trend issue with this generation maxima ET, but R&T say:
96 SE V6 15.7 sec.

Both pretty impressive for some of America's favorite family sedans.

latest maxima looks good from the front but very heavy from the back, especially if you see it up close, it's huge

Awesome! I beleive you! Was it close though... or did you completely dust it???

I raced a chevy cavilier Z24... it was a manual too. i KILLED IT!!! I raced a benz C320 last week... i beat... but it kept up pretty well. We were at it for about 4 or 5 street lights.
