2002(gen 5) There is a way to turn it off...i forget how. Check ur manual or maybe take it to the dealer. They'll prolly help you.

But I dun think Gen 4's, like me can turn it off.

...take the bulb out... if you take out the headlight, you will haev trouble when it really does get dark, and you might want some turn signals too

On the gen4 camry there is a little silver and black box on the passenger side firewall real close to the fender and all you do to disable the daytime running lights is unplug the connector on it.Also if anyone wants to disable their automatic headlights that come on at dusk (so you can just turn on your parking lights),there is a little black sensor on the pass. side dashboard in the defroster duct you just pop it up and unplug the connector attached to it,the only drawback is it would be very hard to ever get to the connector to plug it back up if you ever wanted to.

CamNub: OK, you can call me a smarta@@, and I know I shouldn't joke about such things, but I think you may be suffering a touch of early-onset Alzheimers. Yes indeed, it's very easy to turn the DRL off in a Gen-5 Camry. You use this thing (I'm sure you've seen one before...):

thanks! did as per your info and disabled the headlights. but i still want to disable the auto-on park lights which i havent done yet.

i did the suggestion on the other reply. that is to remove the fuses on the engine ANY of which disable the headlights totally if removed
