Wheel is stuck on!

You guys won't believe this but the wheel on the rear passenger side is stuck on.

I needed to change the brake pads today. I jack the car up and take all 5 lugs off. Try to pull the wheel off and it doesn't budge. I sprayed some liquid wrench on there and still no luck. I used a hammer and gave her a few pounds but it didn't loosen it.

It's not even budging! Any suggestions?

Get a torch and heat it up, it may help to loosen it.

Where should I heat it up at?

Do you think I put the lugs on too tight last time and got them stuck?

put the car on a jack stand, put one lug nut on a couple turns, then hit the back of the tire with your heel, or with a 2x4, it'll come right off

i would put a prybar through one of the holes on the rim, and try prying off of the drum/disc.

When you are ready to put the wheel back on get some anti seize grease and put it around the hub and the inside part of your wheel that contacts with the hub (just a thin layer on both) .The next time you try to remove the wheel it should not stick,it worked great for me!

This happened to my friends audi with alloy wheels. We jacked the car up. Secured it on jackstands, and then put a 2x4 on one corner of the wheel on the inside side. Just the wheel. Not the tire or anything.

Then just take a sledge hammer and pound the wood a bunch. The vibration will break the rust bonds and free the wheel up.

Did you loosen the lug nuts before or after you raised the car??

If you loosen them before, the weight of the car can help dislodge the wheel before raising the car.

Always Loosen and Torque up with the car on the ground, not in the AIR!
