Need help on locating the horns on my 94 camry. I am replacing them with aftermarket Japanese ones with echo effect.
Anyway, I see the horn behind the grill and disconnect it. Then I push my horn button and it is still going off. It is obvious that there is another horn somewhere but I can't locate it.
I didn't know my car had 2 horns. Looked in the haynes manul but it only says it has 1 horn. Not true.
My aftermarket horns came in a pair so there must be 2 horns.
If anyone knows the location of the 2nd horn, please help me out. Thanks.
it is located under your right-side headlight, if you take off your bumper you should see it. I found that by accident when i took my bumper off the other day
theres one behind the grill (you know that) and theres one behind the driver side turn signal light. i saw it when i was changing the bulbs. theres probably one behind the other turn signal also.
theres probably one behind the other turn signal also.
So there are 3 now???
Thanks guys. I will look.
BTW, does anyone have aftermarket horns? Not just replacement ones. I've connected one and it doesn't honk. It connects with the factory connection but no power is going to it.
As well, I think I had the same probably...I disconnected one horn, hooked up my new one and it didn't work. Only until I disconnected the 2nd factory one did it start to work. Still kinda has me stumped but I removed the aftermarket one....
im using bosch airhorns in my car... i didnt dismantle the factory connectors instead i tested which one was positive and the ground then just followed wiring diagram from the bosch instruction manual that's it... although i forgot which one of those 2 wires is the right one...
I finally figured it out. The ground was not connected. Even though the connections were connected, it wouldn't go of unless the horns are screwed back in place. The ground is when the horn is touched with the frame of the car....

Good stuff!
FYI: The Gen3's have a high & low horn, and my low horn had a bad ground also, so I was running on my stock "bitch" horn for a few summers... the wimpiest sound you ever heard. The good part was, when driving past some cuties or jailbait, it was always fun to do a double-tap on the horn for a little "beep-beep"... pimpin' aint easy.
