is this is a good deal or do i need to get higher compression pistons?
Complete Gasket Set
Performance Copper Head Gasket
ROSS Forged Pistons
(87.5, 88mm) and
(7.8-1, 8-1, 8.5-1, 9.1-1 comp ratio)
Performance Rings
Performance Wrist Pins
TOGA HP Main Bearings
TOGA HP Rod Bearings
Thrust Washers
Timing Belt
Expansion Plugs
Where did you find that deal, it sounds pretty good to me.
As for the compression ratio, it depends on whether or not you are going to boost the engine or leave it N/A. Lower ratio is better for cars with forced induction. This is to help prevent unwanted detonation. If you are going N/A, go with higher a compression piston.
ok thanks augcam. i was confused about the whole ratio thing. i thought that higher piston ratio was good for the forced induction. and lower for n/a. but i guess i just got mixed up. heres the site i found it at http://www.importperformanceparts.net/
thanks for the info.

no problem, I got most of my info from this forum anyway. If you do a search on forced induction and compression ratio you will get a lot more info. You can also go to hardcore/tech board and learn alot.
hey the only rods that i have found are in a package with a v6 crank shaft. and it is like $400. is that like extremely cheap or what. im not familier with the prices of rods and cranks. these are performance. thanks

the exhaust part is painted in gloss black to make the rust disappear. this is only a turbo i plan on starting out with. but this is just the beginning. way more to go.

$400 for a crank and 6 rods is extremely cheap. I'd be weary of the quality of the parts.
Chromoly steel billet rods are roughly $100 - $150 ea.

just one more thing. how many camshafts are in the 1mzfe and how much will it cost to get them custom.
4 camshafts.
Good luck having them custom made. You might be able to have them hardwelded and reground though.
