Getting ready to build uo my motor!

Ahhh, after many hours of hard work I have the money to drop a new motor into my Gen 3!

Looking at getting the performance motor from importperformance.com. With an 11.0 to 1 compresson ration the performance 5sfe should make 160hp+, and 170 ft/lbs.

Not too shabby, especially since I'm planning on doing a low boost 5.5 psi rippmods after it is broken in. It should have a very nice torque curve.

Anyways, I was wondering, since I'm going to leave it as an auto ( sorry, no tranny swap here), are there any performance torque convertors available for my 93 5sfe? That would really help put the power to the ground if I can find one. Any of you guys using one? Tony perhapes?

cool so youre getting a whole new motor ? a performance 5sfe motor ? didnt know there was such thing out ehehe. 11:1 compression is high ! lol.. usually people go with lower compression when running boost .. im not sure about any tranny upgrades for our auto trans but you can go with a trans cooler like i am.. according to Steve Meisner it helps out alot !.. keep us updated.

I'm certainly not an expert, but I don't think I'd ever go that high of a CR with an SDS 5SFE.
