Question Fuel pump question

Hello fellow toyota drivers....I have a rather odd situation here....I recently installed (been having for about 6k miles) a tranny cooler on my 1997 V6 Cam. The first time I installed my tranny cooler I didn't have any problems what so ever, but the situation was that when I installed it the first time I installed it wrong and so I was driving around like that for about 1.5 months. Until not to long ago lets say 1 month now, my tranny feels like it's slipping everytime I hit the gas and my rev goes up to 4,000 rpms to 5,000. In low rpms though I I don't feel a problem what so ever. Now the tranny cooler is properly installed (thanks to the guys at Toyotanation ) and it still kicks back even after the proper installation. The shifting is smooth and the car "feels" like it wants to get up and go but when it reaches 4,000 rpms it kicks back and then continues....Now this is my question...get ready folks......Could be that my tranny is going bad since I ran my car with the tranny cooler not installed properly or could it be my fuel pump not supplying enough fuel at high rpms? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated...

Well I didn't know how to install a tranny cooler...so thats my own dumb self....the way I installed the cooler was by I just took both lines and ran them straight to the cooler with out running them in series like how it should be....Now it is installed properly "in series" and I still get that kick back around 4k rpms...

Is there sufficient fluid in there? Also change the fluid and see whether it helps. If it doesnt help, it could be the friction material has worn out. What kind of mileage is your vehicle? I doubt a tranny slipping problem is related to the fuel pump.
