Need tech help from people who have done this before..

Is there anything I can add to my (5sfe) Eurocam I to make the car sound quieter/better. I am talking about putting a little ATF into the engine or some other stuff I can pick up at a local car shop.

Thanx 4 the help.

are you thinking of running an additive thru the engine to clean it, thus cleaning some of the deposits out?

i would suggest running some BG44K & cleaning out the throttle body w/some throttle body cleaner...should be able to get both at pep boys etc.

might want to also check the coolant levels...that can cause rpm "jumping" where the needle dips up & down like 1000 to 1200 rpm kind of thing... does that make sense?

also way worn out spark plugs can cause a rough idle too...

don't know how many miles you have on the car, but those are some basic checks/things you can do if you haven't already.

hope this helps,
Keri

Bon Ami was used to re-score pistons in the 70's with chevy small blocks.... you did not have to disassemble the heads to rehone to get better ring seating.

Just 2 tbs of Bon Ami cleaner shaken in the throttle in a shaker!

-------Thread Jack!------
Please elaborate on idle jumping... I am noticing that

Hajoca if you are noticing idle jumping that can be a sign of low coolant/time to flush the coolant system and replenish it with the genuine red toyota coolant from the dealership, not green prestone crap.
i think a coolant system flush is recommended every 60k miles, but i can't remember now.
