what i did with mine is splice it into the lighter plug from the backside so i pretty much had to take the the stero to run the wires and everything, you just gotta see which wire is the power and splice it into the lighter power and ground it where ever a good ground is

I know mine don't work if I simply splice into a power and ground wire... theres something in my cig. plug that it needs to function... Hope yours aren't the same way.

man youre confused as fock.

what you would do is chop off the neon tube's cigarette lighter plug connector (plugs into car console) off. Then you would be left with two wires.

One shoudl be red and the other black. HOwever, some neons come nowadays with clear cables. If that is the case, the cable that has a white stripe running through it is the + positive.

The + positive should be connected to a positive power source. There is countless places to find 12V power in your car, but the most easily accessible is the one on the cig lighter plug.

If you chose to go the cig lighter way, you will have to splice into the cig lightr wires and hook up your neon tube wire to those wires permanently.

Make sure you run an in-line fuse in case the neon blows to avoid shortage. If you wnat to go through the firewall and hook up to the battery or fuse box, that is a totally diferent animal. If you have any quesitons PM me.

BTW, which neon tube did you get.
