about the corner lamp flashers in the faq, how does it affect your alarm system, or does it? you know how when you push the keyless entry button, the corner lamps would flash twice for unlock and once for lock; so will the lights still flash if i perform this?
-thanks

I was gonna do that mod... but, it gets rid of your parking lights, right? When driving at night they won't be lit up (when you're not pressing the break pedal), I'm affraid someone gonne run into me like that

When the parkinglights are on they flash alternately with the turn sig, when they're off they flash in unison. ...if you wire them per 88le's instructions in the Camry FAQ

is there a way to have them always blink in unison? i dont really like it when cars have signals that blink alternately... its tacky imo (sry!)
are there pics that go with the instructions? ive never "spliced" nor "crimped" any wires before. would i still need crimps if i just used a soldering iron instead?
im also confused with these steps:
Cut the ground wire for the parking light. Tape off the end that goes to the
car cos you won't be using it anymore.
Splice the ground wire from the parking light (the bulb socket) to the 12V+
wire of the blinker. You'll need a piece of wire and some crimps to do this.
it says to cut the ground wire and tape it off... then it says to splice the ground wire with the 12v
edit: ahhhh crap i get it now

I can get you some pics.
If you solder the wires together you don't need crimps. Just use heatshrink or electrical tape to cover up the connection.
hmm. what do crimps look like? i think id rather do crimps, i like to do stuff thats reversible. well soldering is reversible but not as easy to reverse as crimps (right?). plus ive never used a soldering iron before. any tips regarding that? i have a feeling once i get the hang of soldering ill get semi-addicted to it.
you said im gonna need extra wiring... what kind should i buy and where should i get them?
thx for the help, and ill be waiting for those pics

If i were you i'd solder it. Those crimps can fall off at some times and there would be a chance for them to short out.
Soldering is not that hard, takes you less then 5 min.
Do it right, man

I've never had a problem with crimps.
The secret to crimping is to use a good pair of crimpers (not the cheap ones made from thin metall) and don't crimp on the seam.
But, yes I agree with you that soldering is better.
ok sry for the dumb question, i looked in teh sticky it jsut had directions, but are we talking about the rear taillights or the front corner lamps? I'm assuming you're talkign about the rear
