Hey all, i was looking at the 60 series flowmaster muffler (a 4/6 cylinder flowmaster muffler). Could this fit on my 95 V6 XLE?
If it works, im planning on getting a muffler place to install it. Should i just get them to install it from the stock piping? The inlet is 3". Would this require a piece of pipe to convert 2.25 to 3? Or would i have to get 3" piping from falange back?
k...let me handle this since i actually at one time thought of doin this...the 60 series (if im not mistaken) is not the one made for small imports....the only advantage to gettin a flowmaster is becomin the ANTI-RICE and having the low cost....if this 60 series is not for the imports DONT GET IT!!!...it is made for big block engines...if not that its made for AMERICAN CARS...do what u want...yes it will fit to answer your question...3 inch piping probably which doesnt create enough back pressure on v6 camrys...2.5 inch is the best pipe diameter....then again its ur car...do what u want...im jus sayin that theyre plenty of mufflers out there that match and beat the flows....

unless you are performin some serious, and i mean serioius, mods to your engine don't get this muffler.
First try to match up the exhaust piping size., if you plan on retaining the stock piping If not then look for 2.5" inlet mufflers and redo all your piping to 2.5" size (the right size for some performance assuming your gonna mod your engine).
Just try to keep the piping diameter the same size all around, and look for a muffler more directed toward imports.

i understand to muffler for imports but like big_p said, im looking for the deep, non-ricey sound, but no, i wont me modding the engine much more than intake...
racerhex has a flowmaster. he likes it too. i really wanna know how it sounds, cuz i got a buddy with an mr2, and his flowmaster sounds NICE, like a totally different car, nothing like your average modded mr2 exhaust.

i'd like to get a complete exhaust system, not rice sounding but powerful sounding, but it's too much money right now. maybe i'll get one of those pepboys chrome tips for now. (how do those work?? just slip it onto the current tailpipe and tighten the 3 screws??)
