That pic actually looks kinda hype still! I now you had a hell of a time trying to decide which rims to get. The rims are REALLY sweet man. I'm glad you're happy with them. I'm sure that'll bring you a few more trophies at the shows

LOL..no kidding. Thank God I had Road Runner or I might still be looking over wheel sites...lol. But I appreciate the good words Phi. Now I get to handle the task of droping the 4x4.

tmanana,

Hey the rims look great dog !! Yeah it'll be ALOT nicer once you get the drop. I love my car lowered with the new struts, now it's my turn to get the rims going on. I might be spending my uncle sam check on getting some 18'' for a person I met off this forum.

I really need to get some pics of my ride and sound system out there ASAP, I'll let you know when I do.

Hey Dctodd....yea definately get those pics up...very anxious to see those. 18s will look awsome. Well they didn't have these rims in 18s...and to be honest I worry too much to be driving on 18s...lol. But anyways...good luck w/ Uncle Sam...I definately had my share of hassles with that bast@#d  Going to take a few day pics after work and get those posted tonight.

Thanks elegantcam...when I finally got them on at Discount Tire...the techs all came around b/c it was the first car to put them on at their store. Apparently they came out a month ago or so...and as I said Discount Tire is the only retailer with rights to this rim for 2 yrs...which I like.

Now when it comes to this last show...boy I felt outnumbered. While my friend and I were waiting in line to drive into the show...we took count of the cars in front of us....lets say when we stopped we were up to 30 or so Hondas and maybe 15 Acuras...gosh I felt like an outcast. Even had a handful of people ask me if my car was a Honda. Going to really mess with their heads when I shave all my markers and get that front screen nose piece they are selling on the SC3 forum...he he.

Now when it comes to the 18/17 debate...yes I know a ton of people say 17s are too small on the Solara...and they are offering some good deals on 18 packages...but I really would like to protect my investment...and I think the rims stand out enough where it will make up for the fact they are 17s when I lower it. Plus I got 50 series tires...which fill in that gap....oh well. I guess I have a "bling"....instead of a "bling bling" :wink:I'm not all that worried about it.

Don't feel bad that you got 17"s. In fact you've made a smart choice by going for both show and performance.

I don't really see the need to get 18"s unless your solara is S/C'd and you need that kind of traction on the road.
