I have a gen3 i4. If I add a cat-back exhaust, intake, headers, plugs and wires, and an underdrive pulley will this give my car the same amount of hp as a stock v6 or a little bit more? or not even close?

Not even close.

Gen3 I4 produces about 130hps at the crank, depending on the year. Assuming that you have an auto, the auto tranny will eat up about 20-30 horses. One of our Toronto members, Speedemn had his I4 dynoed at around 100hps at the wheels.

The V6s produce roughly 194hps at the crank. Various Toronto folks (Elegantcam, Silver Streak, and DS) had theirs dynoed at about 150hps at the wheels.

There's no way that you can make up the 50whps with just bolt ons. I have all those mods you mentioned, and I'm guessing I'll have 120hps at the wheels IF I'm lucky.
