Wind noise around rear passenger door

Hi guys... On the highway I have rather bad wind noise around the rear passenger door or window. I have heard that this is a known problem with some 99 Camrys and that there is a TSB and upgrade kit available. Correct so far?

Okay, so I called my local Toyota dealer, explained the problem and mentioned about the TSB and upgrade kit. He checked the Canadian Toyota TSB list (whatever that is) and said there is no mention of wind noise problems and they know nothing about an upgrade kit.

He went on to say that I am probably obtaining US information. My reply was since they are all the same cars, what difference would it make if the information was US based. The problem is still the same and the solution would still apply to my car. I asked if they could obtain the upgrade kit and fix the problem. His reply was that I needed to bring the car in for inspection and possible repair. HUH? If they don't have the upgrade kit, how could they do a repair?

Any thoughts or suggestions on why Toyota Canada would not have the same TSB information as the US? Are these 99 Camrys not made in the US these days?

Drive safe and enjoy.

TSB's are regional by car and model specifications. Canada is in the North American region. The TSB's are the same as US. Any difference is specified by VIN, year group, and specified production runs. For instance a 2 day period where a new assembler miss-torqued a strut nut and now they rattle and squeek. The TSB would list car and model and VIN numbers in that 2 day period only to recall and fix.
