Help with DIY Red Clear lights

Hey, I've been searching around the board all morning, and I can't find the originally DIY for doing the clear/ red tail lights.

I attempted it last night for the first time, and it didn't do well at all. Orignally tried it at 400 as that was the temp I had last seen to do it at on the thread's. well....that started to cause the lense to warp an bubble on the edge. Later on after it had cooled I tried again at 350 for a few minutes, but this time it worked, except that the lense was now to plyable and when I went to put it back on after removing the lense I didn't pay attention and next thing you know I put a large dip in the lense where my hand was at. So now I have an tail light that is warped, as well as buckeled in several areas so it's no longer a smooth outer area. Can someone please tell me the correct way to do this, and also keep in mind i'm using a gas oven, not an electric. I figure I'm stuck with my faults for now, so I will wait till the next pay check from the Gov, then head on down to the pick N Pull here in San Antonio and buy some new tails to try again on.

Aight, so obviously 400 was a bit to high, as was 350ish. So Heating it up to about 200 to 250 should be where I need to be then huh? Now will that just be hot enough to heat the glue without causing the lense to become plyable? That was my biggest problem before was that it was so soft that when I tried to pry it up, it caused it to buckle in that area, and then to reseat the section i pulled up I had to put pressure on it, which then caused it to collapse in so now the outside of my lense has some huge ass bumps and curves on it. Not very good looking up close! Yea, and go figure I just got off the phone with SA - Pick N Pull, lights cost about 10-25 bucks and a new steering wheel about 15 bucks and everything is 50% off today! GRRRRR.....why did I have to go and pay my bills this month! Oh well, Guess next weekend when the wife gets paid I'll go see what I can confiscate from the PNP place. Any more advice you can give me on this would be great though!

Yea, the last I had seen on the site was that someone said they had done it at 400 and it was fine, so I just went with that since I couldn't get on the site the last few days to verify anything.
Ahh well, you learn from your mistakes. It's funny right now though, I have these sweet ass melted bumper lights on the back of the car now.... Now that's a mod not to many people have!
