Brake light problem

alright my friend has a 93 camry and she has an annoying light on the dash that has not shut off in over a year. It seems like its indicating there is a problem with the brake lights or rear lights.

I checked all the lights in the back and they are fine. Is there a faulty sensor or fuse that has been known to be a PITA in these cars?

I would really like to get rid of that light. Anyone know how to clear it?
Shes the second owner and does not have the owners manual.

thanx

I had the same problem a few years ago. I called the local Toyota dealership and they said bring it in; might be something wrong with the electrical system. For $90 an hour, I waited. I called the next dealership closest and they said check the 3rd brake light.

I checked the 3rd brake light and that's what set the light off.

Check the 3rd brake light and make sure that's not it. Let us know.
