Do you have acces to a window an dmirror shop??
They usually will seet you up right.

One of the products they use is a UV activated crystal clear resin, (many brands, but just to note loctite makes one as well, called 359 or 358. different numbers of glue have different uses and characteristics and methods of curing)

The glue is applied, and part positioned, you get like hours to do this.... and then when right, they expose the glue with the UV light, (2-3 minutes with a flourescent black light, depending on the plastic colour, as red filters out UV) and the adhesive gels, then gets solid in a matter of minutes.

A hobby shop that will specialize in model airplanes may also have glue for the plexi- canopies that need to be glued and not show any glue hazing/streaks...etc.

I used this glue to replace watch crystals, and customers the lack of returns have shown me that this is a good product.

sounds like he might have clear tails so its not a bad idea... if it doesnt turn out well he can just paint it then... also painting that piece is kind of pricey

Thats wierd I've been trying to find a way to do that to my center piece because I made my tails clear and red and wanted the center clear with some red painted on but I didnt know if you could just bake it and take the red out liek with tails.. how much is this costing you?
