Is 3m tint good?

I know of 2 people that have 3m tint, it looks really good but i dunno if it is worth the extra cost?

i can get regular tint for about 100, 3m goes for 200.

ive seen alot of ads for 3M Window Tint here in Aus. I dont know if it is the same for the states, but they say it reflects more light, heat, etc, and doesnt discolour over time all good things i assume.

that is a bunch of advertising they did, whether or not you wish to believe it is up to you

Yes, if you're gona tint your windows, go the extra mile and get the good stuff. You wouldn't want the tint to bubble or turn purple. Sunguard is anther good good brand of tint. I myself use sunguard.

3M or llumar is what you want to go with when it comes to quality tint!

I had my windows tinted at Formula One for $200 cash. The tint came with a lifetime warranty against fading, demetalizing, cracking, hazing, or discoloration. Formula One also goes the extra mile and gives you a warranty card titled "No Fault" insurance at no additional cost where if someone breaks into your car or the weather busts out a window, they'll rentint your replacement window for no additional charge. See if there is a Formula One near you. They're a little more than some other shops but the difference is light years. BTW, the rear window is done in one solid piece (no strips).

I also added a black vinyl sunstrip to my car for $20 extra.

Formula one is an authorized llumar and 3M dealer.

I asked two cops, one said 'nothing but factory tint', the other said 'as long as i can see whos inside'.

Tint shops say, 'never enforced, so sure, no problem, cops don't care.' Think they are $$$ motivated?

So maybe question is how light a tint can I get? More interested in cutting uv rays and glare.

Oregon is 35% for passenger cars, same on all windows. None on the windshield of course, but that's a no-brainer.

Check this out.

Yep, should have my '99 Solara tranny this week

It's in Montana at a friends house, I ordered it during school and school got out before it showed up there so now I have to get it shipped here or wait until my mid-summer trip back to Montana.

I'm in Salem, if you ever want to meet up and do car stuff, let me know.
