ive had my intake for about 3 months and my exhaust for about 1-2 months. i have yet to reset the ecu but i want to know if its safe and how exactly to drive the car when the engine is relearning as to not hurt the engine. should i do it?

also what is the best way to reset the ecu... any other methods besides removing the battery cable?

theres really nothing to it. my battery has died on my countless times, meaning no power for hours at a time, nothing really changes too drastically. if you drive like a normal sane driver, im sure nothing bad will happen.

how long do i disconnect the battery for? im certainly not a normal sane driver... im a pizza delivery driver =P. so just drive the car normal.... how long will it take for the ecu to learn?

Everything will be fine right from the beginning. If it has already been more than a week since you changed any parts, there is no need to reset the ecu.

The easiest way on a toyota is to pull the EFI fuse - you can find it on the fuse panel in the engine bay. That way, you don't loose your radio presets.

Unless its a drastic modification (intake and exhaust don't really count), there isn't a need to reset the ECU. Personally, I wouldn't worry about it.
