Hi,
I recently got a set of new tyres for my car.
and i noticed on the rear tyres have been rubbing on the top of the shock absorber. its hard to explain where on the shock absorber it is rubbing.....
if you look at the picture, the shock has a roundish disk that i assume supports the spring. Thats the part the tyre is rubbing on.
it is not always rubbing, i assume when i go over the bump the tyre comes up and touches it. But that never happened before.
oh yeah, i should say that my wheels are 14"x5.5" and the new tyres are a touch wider than normal. I assume that is the problem. But is it anything to worry too much about?
thanks.
