Question on leaking oil.
My car is a 1997 camry xle v6 with lady driven 74K miles. I took my car in for timing belt replacement service (told them to replace, power steering belt, alternator blt, a/c fan belt). Anyhow...when they were replacing the power steering belt they told me there was a mysterious leak behind the ps pump. Naturally i asked if it could be a valvecover gasket..they were not sure...(didn't want to comment w/o a dye test). I did a search and too many queries came back...so i'd ask here. I see no dripping oil. Car is pampered BIG time. Garaged all its life...the big prob's i've had with this car are gen 4 strut mounds thats been replaced 3 times...(the car is under extended warranty - so i'm not too worried about this). Dealership didn't know about it...But is there a way for me to see to know of a leak..which i can't see? (cus's i check the car weekly....so its highly doubltful that the last week i didn't check her..she developed leaks). Isn't it too early for this...i've only got 74K miles on her...
