Gumout Carb & Choke Cleaner for Throttle Body

This stuff says it's not supposed to be used on fuel injected vehicles, but it seriously is all AutoZone or Advance Auto had when I stopped in. Is it okay to use just for cleaning the throttle body, or should I pass on it and try something else?

There's a reason why it says it's not suppose to be used on fuel injected vehicles.

Choke cleaners are for carbourators only.

And if you read the small warning label it may tell you what happens if you use it on fuel injected vehicles.

Duly noted... What cleaner do you guys recommend, and where do you pick it up? We have an AutoZone, Advance Auto, and a NAPA here in Asheville. Advance didn't have the FI-specific stuff, but I didn't have time to check the other places.

That's exactly what I ended up using. I'm really disappointed in the knowledge of some of the AutoZone staff. I went to 2 of them, and also an Advance and NAPA, and all of them said "oh the Gumout stuff should work just fine," completely negating what everyone else here said. Glad I followed everyone else's advice. Can you imagine someone coming in w/o that information wanting to do the same project? Sheesh... Thanks again for all the info, gentlemen (and ladies who may be in the house).
