help! car wont start!

Early this morning, when i started my car is sounded different. While I was turning my key, the lights in my dashboard (abs, seat belt, etc) flashed and the car started. IT has never done that before.

Then this afternoon I tried starting my car and it won't start. I heard clicking noises and that's it. All the lights in my dashboard light up, and even my alarm and stereo worked. I tuned up (NGK Spark plug wires and spark plugs, fuel filter, valve cover gasket) with gound wires installed last month. What could be wrong?

clicking noise eh? no starter spooling up?

you may have a dead battery. the clicking sound occurs when your battery is dead. and dont think that just becuase you can play CDs that your battery isn't dead.

try jumping.

if it no worky then go through the engine and make sure all of the connections are secure. check and make sure nothing is dripping out of your exhaust.

do your brake lights work when you press the pedal?

My '97 Camry LE V-6 90,000 miles

Starter Contacts Needed Replaced Inside The Starter Solenoid

If- Battery Is Ok ,Battery Terminals Are Clean & Tight

My Camry Would "Click" When Trying To Start

New Contact Kits = Starter Works Great!

Hope This helps,

Ed

yeah, its my battery. my friends and bf checked it out and they said the starter works bc there's continuous clicks . they also said the red terminal is dirty. I got the battery replaced in Walmart, for 47 bucks or so and they sprayed that rust prevention thingy on the terminal. now im all good. thanks members

they make a cylindrical steel condom for the battery terminals..its got wire brushed inside to clean it up nicely. Its at most 2-3 bucks (i think). I use them to keep my terminals clean. So you might want to invest in that as well....
