i have a 2001 camry, and i got my wood kit off ebay, as you said, the prices were very very different. here's mine (pics):

wood kit gen4&4.5 owners

here's what you have to look for:

1) try to get GENUINE TOYOTA OEM, im not sure about the 94's, but for the gen4's, toyota makes a dash wood trim, i myself would stay away from unheard companies, because you have no idea what the pieces are actually like, and im sure they won't send you a sample piece.

2) if your looking at wood, make sure it says, REAL WOOD. the title may say like "burlwood" but in small words inside the description it may say like.. "imitation wood" or some garbage.

it really is a great addition to the car, it transforms the interior a great deal. good luck

here're better resolution pictures:

For anyone who cares, there is someone who is selling Toyota burlwood dashkits on ebay new for like 34.99. They are for Generation 4 camrys.

I bought one about 2 months ago, and while installation is tricky- if you don't do it 100% right, it starts coming off- the kit itself makes the interior look really upscale.

It sells for like 450 bucks at the dealer, so 34.99 (plus like 15-20 for shipping) seems like a pretty good deal.

Looks awesome too. Sorry, I don't think he has gen 3.

that dash kit looks hot Grapefury i like it alot. that kit should be able to fit on a solara right, cause the solara has some wood trim around the doors and onto the dash, and i think that kit would make it look 100% better

Just search on ebay. Try "camry wood trim or "camry dash trim" or something. Links to Ebay items aren't always the best ideas for forums, because ebay items are usually only listed for 7 days or less.

The Ebay ID of the guy I bought my ID from was Powerseller4you. Try e-mailing him through the ebay system to see if he has any left. Currently, (6/7/04) he does not have any listed for sale, but it doesn't hurt to ask him.

nice wood trims on the gen4 and gen5. but how about those gen3 trims? Anyone have them? Got them done? I've seen ebay with then for about 120$ thats a little too much.

How would the wood trims look on a gen3 tan interior?

I'm interested in the brush alumiums but would like to see how they look on the tan interior.

this is a burlwood dash trim kit for a Gen 4 (but I don't believe it will fit a 1997- 97s have a different front passenger window control)
