Almost any of today's oils (using manufacturer's recommend grade for your climate and driving habits) if changed at the interval you specify will do fine.
I prefer using Mobile1 Synthetic 10W30 and a quality Wix filter but that's just my choice. It's most important to use the right grade (perhaps 5W30 there in BC during the winter months). If your car doesn't leak any oil, go with the lower viscosity, if oil pressure is low or you tend to have a leak or some blow-by then a little higher viscosity oil is probably needed. (Maybe even 10W40).
Synthetic oil is nice because it keeps the engine very clean inside, even at 200000 miles it's nice to have a clean engine. Some people might recommend an oil specifically for older engines but I doubt that's really necessary.
Whenever changing oil types or viscosity of oil it's a good idea to run the new oil for a little shorter time (or mileage) and changing it along with the filter so that, in the event it flushes out some crud, it gets that flushed out of there so the new oil will now keep the engine nice and clean inside.
Just my 2 cents on oil changes.
