Is it possible to give a camry all-wheel drive. I'm just wondering cause I like subaru cause of all-wheel drive. I like my camry and all I'm just wondering if you could put awd on it. Or maybe I'm just dreaming
if you got the cash and a willing dealer, you could always try ordering an AWD 4cyl Gen 5 from Japan. 99% guarantee you won't succeed through the dealer network, but anything's possible if you got the cash.
Its possible, but your gonna need alot of custom parts chopping of the trunk, reposition the exhaust, drive train, new rear axels, mouning brackets..... it took a year and a half for my first conersion, the second to only 2 month.
So if you want to be with out a car for 6 months and have about 5K go for it.

Yeah, dealers wouldn't know anything 9 time out of 10, hell don't even think about ordering a j-spec part from them unless it came on a NA spec model. They would not know where to begin.

apparently, some just offer up a part number to the dealer and they can order stuff up.

because he'd have to re-work the frame for the rear wheel assembly. It's much cheaper to buy a bad ass LSD than to ship, graft, and install the drive train.
You know what sucks though. You would spend all that money just so you can say your car is AWD only to realize your car is now significantly slower than when it was fwd.
