Unhappy help a newbie gal out? Tire Problem

Hi, hope someone can point me in the right direction ...

I bought a 2011 camry SE about a month ago. LOVE the car, but I got up on Saturday morning and the tire pressure light was on *boo*. So I took it to the closest dealership to my house (not the one I bought it at) and they put some more nitrogen in the tire. Yesterday morning got up - same time 10lbs less. I got a roadside assistance plan with N2Now when I bought the but my husband said "that's roadside not driveway assistance" so he put air in it. The dealership said we could on Saturday.

This morning 10lbs down again. So it's obviously got a slow leak. Question is WHAT to do. I know the car came with some limited tire warranty and the N2Now. Do I call roadside, do I call the dealership - because I could drive it there. Would this be covered some how? Or should i just take it to some random tire place.... it has Toyota tires....

thanks!!!!

The dealership that you bought it from should fix it free of charge. If they make you pay for a plug a month after buying a new car thats just ridiculous.

Tires or wheel rims may be defective. Dealer should fix under warranty.

Losing 10 psi overnight?... that's a pretty big leak, should be easy to find. Probably a nail or screw somewhere in the tire. Any tire shop should be able to find it and fix it for $10 or $15. Hardly worth futzing with... The dealership might do it for free just for the goodwill.

Thanks for the responses. It was a nail. The dealership found it and patched it. Cost $20 .... but they said it should last the life of the tire *sigh* hope so!!

you could save the money by going to autozone or pep boys and buying a plug kit for like $5 and will have 4 or 5 plugs in it. i also think discount tire fixes those kind of things for free.

Just beware that if you get another nail on the same tire (and not on the sidewall), the new hole cannot be within 12inch of the old plug otherwise the tire shop cannot patch it.

Also, I thought all new cars (2011 and newer) came with Toyota Care which includes roadside assistance?

if the dealer repaired it with a PLUG, i would be really surprised.
you wont even find many actual tire shops that will use a plug on a pessenger car.

a plug is a great roadside repair. its not a very good longterm fix tho. it should be used to get you to a repair place, and have the tire fixed(patched) correctly.
