Unhappy Brake Pulse Feeling

when i sometimes brake, i feel the car has a pulsating feeling
its hard to explain. It almost feels like the car is rocking forward and backwards when i brake
it is very suttle and it might be my imagination but i doubt it
(sorry thats the best description i can give )

also this might not be related, but i had to stop really hard the other day and the car fully dived forward, alot more than usual

anybody have any idea about that could be going on?

Thanks.

You could check the condition of your suspension bushings.

wrong ... If your brakes are pulsating. That usually means your brake rotors are warped...

that might be the problem, but it isnt a pulse in the brake pedal.

its more of the whole car rocking forward and back but it is very un-noticable.

your right. my rotors have been warped long enough for me to know that as well . But the car "diving" wouldnt be attributed to that.

I've had that but it was only on acceleration and only on 1st and 2nd gear... It was alingment...

But warped rotors can possibly the main reason because your braking. I mean the car isnt doing it when its accelrating correct ??? Just have your rotors resurfaced its only going to cost you $40.00 bucks to find out ... But it might take you and afternoon to take them off...

Any time you brake hard the front of the car is suppose to dip down ... And dipping down more than usual usually means worn shocks and springs... I mean I'm just guess that his car must have stock shocks and springs...

yes i do have stock shocks/springs, originals i think 10 years old (i dont think the previous owner changed them , but i will when i get the money )

but when i said 'more than usual' i meant like, when i had to brake hard before the car would not dive down as much as it did the other day

would it be something to do with the rear brakes? because one, the handbrake (e-brake) doesnt hold the car very well, and two, when i want to have some fun and do a handbrake stop it doesnt lock the back wheels
but it did work fine before

i assume it was about time re-do the brakes , that and a dozen other things

but if i were to re-do brakes, i would probably go with a conversion to the larger V6 Discs in the front and V6 Discs in the rear (better than the rear drums now )

Not really just time to get new rotors, new brake pads, new brake lines, do a brake fluid flush, chnage your brake fluid, and get new stock or aftermarket suspension...
