Question TRD oil filters:

Anybody ever used (or are currently using) TRD (Toyota Racing Development) oil filters on their vehicles? Just courious how they have performed, the cost compared to the regular "Toyota" oil filters & finally does anybody have the part number(s) for a 2001 ES 300? (should be the same as tht V6 Camry 97 - 01?) How much better is the TRD filter suppose to be over other filters on the market?

buy one cut one open and find out

I would guess they are set up more for flow than filtration.

lol or you could jus read about em... lumberg would be right for the flow, but dont even bother for our cars unless its making big power figures, you wont notice the difference. theyre designed for high performance cars where the stock filter may be too restrictive on the fuel system

I only Use TRD Oil Filters !

Hi:

I only use TRD Oil Filters. I use both types, RED(Japan)$18.00 and the New White Ones, about $10.00.

Awhile ago, I found abunch of Red TRD Oil Filters for like 9.00 bucks, so I stocked up.

I really do not notice any difference between the 2 filters, it is just preference.

Its more of a look I guess. Is it better than a regular filter, not sure either.

For me , I try to keep my Camry ALL TRD as possible.

Thanks
