is ur ride a i4 r v6..... i am wornderin cuz i got a v6 n this guy said that there is no mt for 95-96.... he said that the tranny off 97-99 MIGHT work....

dude the mounts from all gen 3 trannys are the same they should fit ur car if u find one... my tranny is off a 94 camry 4 door ... and they do have 5spd for both 4 cyl and v6

hehee good luck man .. if u like u can call up Tap recycling they can tell u... talk to a guy named stephen... i dealt with him there... also i got a tranny swap already and it fit.. so watever ur friend is saying.. total bull dude.... gen 3 5spds all fit... simple as that only thing they changed in the make up of the car for the 2 models are head lights and tail lights.... think about it.. will a big company fork out tons of cash just to redo the car for 1 full year and then change the whole car entirely for the next??? kinda dumb right?

Mine's the I4, and I used the I4 tranny.

Another Toronto member, Ratko, is doing a tranny swap on his 1MZFE V6. He used the tranny from the 3VZFE (92-94) models. He also told me that the Gen4 1MZFE trannys would have been compatible. I'm sure he'll give us the details when he's done.

Both V6 tranny are the same and both have the same clutch and fly wheel.Only thing that is not the same is the age.
