Hello all!
Just wanted some opinions on a possible trade. MY CAR: I've got an '03 LE with all the usual options plus alloys, spoiler, and fog lights. 6K miles on car in near mint condition. THE PROBLEM: I am 6'5" and 250LBS. Love the car and know it will last forever, but it's...well, lets say just a tad 'tight' for me. I have found a 2003 Ford explorer sport (2door) loaded, in near mint condition with only 8500 miles on it. My car books at a little over $15K, the explorer is listed at $19,800. Could probably get it down to around $17K or so. So, if you were in my shoes, ....WOULDYA?
Any horror stories or praises on this vehicle or engine (4.0L) would be appreciated. Thanks for your opinions

i dunno i've been in ford explorers sports 2 door before not the 03 but somewhere in the lines of a 98-00 and those aren't that roomy as you think. I've also been in the newer camrys and those are big in my opinion. I would say stay with the camry.maybe get the seats a little more adjusted
I would stay away from the Explorer Sport. Not that it is bad, it is just outdated.
I'm pretty sure that is is based heavily on the previous generation Explorer, except with newer styling.
For the money they are asking for, you can find much more for your money. More recent design, better technology, better safety, ect..... even if it is a newer 4 door Explorer, which is not based on the older one.
(Did I just suggest a Ford? Oh my)
for $19,000- I would look for something that doesn't date back into the mid 90s. (no offense to those with 90s cars, 'cause I am one of them)
Thanx to all who responded! Test drove the Explorer today, and THE CAMRY IS MORE COMFORTABLE!!!! In fact the only car (truck) that was as nice, was the '02 Tundra I traded in. (Lexus on truck tires, but had 'issues') I love Toyota's. Tundras still have some 'new model' brake, trans, and manifold problems. (Mine had them all at 6K ) I'm keepin' the Cam!
Thanx again everyone.
