Hi,
I have a problem. ok here it goes. . my dad just bought be fog lights, from Vietnam! Hehe, well anyways, i tried to hook them up to my headlights because i don't have any switches for it, and i figured it would be easier. was that stupid of me? Well anyways, i went to adjust my fog lights and now the headlight doesn't work. Well the low beam will shine a bit along with my high beams, but the brights barely show up, they show up yellow. So it's as though my low beams and high beams share power and light up barely.
And then when i go to turn on my high beams, the left healight(the improperly functioning one) just totally shuts off, and only the right headlight shows the high beam.
Sorry for the long post but i'm confused as to what just happened. Could it be a burnt out "pigtail?" Or something of that nature? Thanks for any info! I appreicate it!(^_^)
It sounds like your foglights are draining all the power from your headlights. As Phi said, get a relay...it acts as a switch. The headlights turn on the relay which in turns, gives power to the foglights.
Hey guys, thanks. Hehe thanks. I went and got the switch today. I wasn't actually trying to be cheap, i just didn't feel like going to get it. . Lazy me! Well my fogs work just fine now. BUt my head lights are still messed up! Where can i get a relay and where do i attach it?
Phi, these fog lights are actually really bright!! the most high quailty VN product i've seen in a while! Hehe, me viet as well. Lata.
Actually I am almost positive that the F-14 was not in use during the Vietnam War...Sorry to be a smart ass
