magnaflow

my choices for mufflers has came to a close...i have decide to get a magnaflow oval muffler....i have two questions concerning this...first...is there a distinct sound or performance difference between a double wall muffler and a single wall?...second question...which will look better on my somewhat stock i-4 white cam as seen below...an oval with a 7 inch tip or one with a 4 inch long tip...i prefer the 4...how far out will the 7 stick (any difference in sound?)...thanks

i think he meant length-wise, not diameter

how far the tip extends just depends on what you want the muffler shop to do... theyll ask you to approve of the position of the muffler before they start fabricating (after they cut off the stock muffler, of course)

I think you should be fine with 4". If it's oval muffler it'll fit ok. Get under your car and estimate where the muffler gonna be.
I got the round one and the tip wasn't long enough to sit in the "muffler well" so it's little bit lower to the ground, but not too much, from the back it looks like in its place. Again, oval muffler might not have this issue.

I would go with the 4". I think it'll look nicer on your car than the 7".

Not to jack this thread or anything, but how much does a magnaflow muffler cost?
