Spark plugs

I just recently got a 91 camry le with a V6 and I'm having problems getting to the back spark plugs. They're under the entire intake manifold! Does anyone know the easiest way to get those babies out 'cause they need to be replaced.

The repair manual probably says to remove the upper intake manifold... You might be able to get in there with some wobble extensions and the patience of a saint...

Why do they make it so hard to get to those things? It's like they want to try your patience or something

You can do it, just have to sacrifice some skin and have the luck of seven drunk irishmen. Or maybe one scotsman.

A extension and a universal joint should do it for you.

They don't intentionally try to make it hard. It's just the way the engine/engine bay were designed.

*And lossing some skin is part of the job

I did it without taking the intake manifold off. It took me 2 1/2 hours, but it was better than paying the Toyota dealership to do it.

I used extensions and universals to reach them. You can do it!

I used one articulated joint, one 3" & one 5" extension. All Sears.
and two band aids when done.
