the silverstars produce more lumens and appear (and are) brighter because they burn hotter...letting you see more

Actually, i don't think they produce more lumens....I'm pretty sure they are the same lumens at a different colour temperature.

I have them..and they are great in good weather..but in inclement weather, they suck. It's like your lights aren't even on

Wait what?? I thought the purpose of these bulbs was to allow you to see more. Maybe i'm just to tired to realize it but please explain how bad weather affects this.

thats actually true, i just noticed that last night, they do suck in bad weather..... wierd even drizzle or light rain, its like i forgot to turn on my lights....

i love them but i want something brighter, but not at the expense of HID... my friend has 5500k bulbs in her integra, they are AMAZING

White light mimics sunlight better...but white light doesn't provide a lot of contrast. HIDs are so bright (lumens) to make up for this. Fog lights are yellow it provides contrast, helping you see in bad weather. I'm gonna try a set of phillips weathervision bulbs to see how they are.

If you want the white, and the light, you'll have to do the 9006/9005 mod with your silverstars. I'm not dissin' them...I'm just sayin' that my experience with them.

Oh...common misconception is that white light is brighter. Brightness is measured in LUMENS which basically measures how much light is being output. The colour of the light is measured in KELVIN (K) which is, in VERY SIMPLE terms, a colour chart, not a brightness chart. Higher K's DOES NOT equal higher light output.
