Window Regulator Woes

So I just purchased a used window regulator off of E-Bay to replace the broken one on my rear passenger door. I do battle with the door for a good 45 minutes, finally get the old one out, grease up the new one, install it, and it doesn't work. However, it will go up, but not down (new one was partially down when I received it). I pull the switch up and I can hear the motor click as it tries to go up, but when I press down, nothing. Any suggestions? Yeah so I'm an idiot and forgot to put this is on a Gen 3 (94) Camry.

New one maybe? How much you pay for the used one?

I paid 31.50 after shipping. I was wondering if it could be the driver's side switch, i.e. an electrical failure when pressing down on the switch, but not when pulling up. Reason I thought it could be this is if the back switch is relayed through the driver's side switch then if it didn't work at the driver's side it wouldn't work at the door itself.
