I am currently thinking getting a new car before the end of the year and I have many ideas in my mind..
What do you guys think of the feasability of converting a camry in RWD.. Maybe with an engine/transmission swap... I know there would be a lot of customising to give some place for the transmission/driveshaft..
I think I have heard of a guy who had done it but crashed his car when testing it
Let me know what you guys think and if you have any better ideas, let me know..
I was thinking maybe getting a previa and a 1mz+supercharger engine in it or a station wagon camry.. or a 2 door camry with station wagon rear end + es300 front end.. Now (since I tried a 240sx with RB25DET (skyline engine)) I'm really into thinking RWD but I want to stay with Toyota and I don't like little cars like the mr2.. And I really like camrys

Yeah, the RWD conversion was done by one of the guys at Sportico Concepts. Except he hasn't crashed it (that I know of) It's used as a rally car. It's pleanty do-able. If you talk to him, he could even ship you in the parts. They do major work with JDM.
And yeah, Camrys rock! I was looking at a 94' 2 door V6 the other day. 95,000miles for $8,000USD. But I had some change of plans
Ben? From Shiftgate?

Thanks,

I was talking to him about converting the coupe I was going to buy. He offered to order the parts in for me. Their company does tons of importing from japan. Parts, cars, the works.
One, I'm jealous that the kit is going on your car.
Two, I hope your engine doesn't get blown in tuning

It took Ben (Benjamin - Ben-RR) and me 2 days to swap a jdm 3vzfe in my car.. It should not be too hard for us to install a new one AGAIN
Also, all the parts from my old engine are in perfect condition.. so if something break, we have a lot of 3vzfe spare parts in my basement
