For All You WINDOW PROBLEM guys.

I know I'm a newbie, but to keep you from spending money, I just want to yell at you for a minute...

IT'S NOT THE WINDOW REGULATOR, IT'S NOT THE MOTOR, IT'S THE FREAKIN WIRING.

Before replacing motors in my slushbox, I decided to check each window motor before replacing them.

What I did was I took the switches off of each door. Connected the window motor wires which are for each door the solid red and solid green wires (no stripes) and connected them to the battery. Connecting one to the negative and one to the positive puts the window up and down depending on the order in which you put them in. Which means (green positive and red negative takes you one way, and green negative and red positive takes you the other way)

I went through all 4 doors and the motors went up and down with ease. Now comes the problem that I had before I tested the motors. Some of the Windows work when they want to. Before I went and spent money on motors I wanted to test and make sure they worked and they did. Now that I have run out of sunlight, Tomorrow I'm going to attempt to replace the wiring for the windows, knowing the switches work by connecting them to the one window that worked.

Now that I have no windows and no a/c, the drive to work is going to be a fun one here in GA, but you know, hopefully I'll have this problem taken care of tomorrow before sundown.

Will post again hopefully when I'm done.

-Damon

to make the windows work easier you have to take apart the switch and use an eraser to clean the contacts.

mine seem like they are a strain on the electrical system. when i try to get them all up at the same time, the lights will dim and they all start to go really slow
