start problem

Hi guys,

This has been happening for about 1 week, every morning when I want to start the car, it hesitates, like if the battery is death, But if I crank it a few times it starts. I though it was the battery and took it to autozone to have them check it, and the result was: "Battery in good condition"
Any ideas what could be?
BTW its a 98 camry 4 cyl
thank you in advance.

hmm...my mom's 01 did that for a while. they had to replace the starter cuz it had just gone bad for some reason. hopefully it isn't the starter. maybe the spark plugs.

I don't think it's the spark plugs I changed them with the wires at 120k miles it has 140k right now. Any other ideas beside the starter? how much will be a starter replacement cost?
thanks again

Start-Position

Do You Mean You have To Turn The Key On/Off ( Nothing Happens Or "Clicks"-Start-Position)

Then Finally Car Will Start- Over Time This No Start Problem Happens More Often

Could Be Worn Starter Contacts In Starter Solenoid

Try a Search-

Hope This Helps,

Ed
