Camry performance by Shiftgate

I'm sure most people know about Shiftgate, but i thought i would post a thread telling everyone.

Shiftgate Performance is a toyota performance company operated by Ben whos name on this board i forget...

Shiftgate is now in the development of turbo kits for all gen 3 and 4 camrys/solaras. 5sfe, 3vzfe and 1mzfe engines. Full kits with intercoolers, fuel enhancements, and MUCH MUCH more... The base price on the kits is looking to be in the $2200-2500 US range. This will be a complete bolt on turbo kit capable of producing gains of 75+hp in STOCK form.

Future projects will include:

Custom suspension parts
-Coilover ajustable suspension
-Ajustable swaybar links
-Camber plates

Engine components
-Fully built shortblocks and long blocks including street or race porting
-Oversized valves and spring combos
-Forged Piston and rod sets (JE pistons and Eagle rods)
-Custom Head multi layer metal gasket sets
-Oversized Throttle bodys
-Custom equal length intake manifold and surge tanks
-Custom equal length turbo manifolds

How bulky are these turbo things? I want to buy turbo for my equivalent of 1994 camry *US* that is in Kenya and that's where bulk comes in. Costs of shipping to Kenya??

f i were to bolt on one of these turbo kits to my stock engine that currently has 221000 miles on it what do you think the chances are of it blowing up? what will i have to upgrade, if anything?

I say you have a 80% chance of damage over a period of time since bearings and stuff are worn and will not be able to take the extra abuse.But i have seen high milage cars take small boost levels with no problems and all of a sudden they blow.

So you guys building up motors as well? How much would a basic 5sfe, just built up enough to safely run 10PSI cost?

Also what kind of pricing for a matching head? You guys wouldn't be building intake manifolds would you?

but dude, sometime later this month hopefully i will have the money and we will have the kit on my car and we will take a buttload of pics then.
