Ok, the SC need a bypass to allow air through if its not turning, as long as its "Eaton Screw" type. The Eaton Screw make a seal itself and won't let air pass. A turbo will let air pass when its not spinning.
So if you turn off a Eaton SC, you'll got no air to the engine
Some SC use a turbo like turbine, that can be turn off with a clutch.
Check the SC system and find out what is needed first. It can be done but it may require more work then you think.
I think the clutch is there to turn off the SC at high RPM. SC can't spin too fast to prevent supersonic air flow which will damage everything before it get to supersonic.
Oh I think the AC mount is too close to the exhaust to put a SC there.
