well some of you know me and some of you dont. i've been around on this board for a while. well once upon a time i had a nice camry. new body kit and hood, some nice paint, and nice rims. cold air intake and full exhaust. the car looked good and was very reliable. i also got a fully built trans from level 10 because i thought i was going boost. now the ac doesnt work, the drivers door window doesnt work,my antenna doesnt work, the body kit got all macked up this winter, a rim is bent, i have two bad tires for the rims, i have a big dent in my passenger side door and my drivers mirror was broken off.
basically what this post is all about is i'm trying to decide to stay in the camry world. i'm starting to put on my stock bumpers, i just bought some cams to put in, and i'm in on the invader hood gb. i've been driving my father 99 chevy malibu lately and i really like the newish car. leather interior, nice 6 cyl, cold air, ect. i'm just really liking the quietness and how everything works. now i just have the feeling that i want a new car. it doesnt have to be the greatest new car, just something new. the cam is a 92, i've had it for 4 years, i've tried to make it the car i wanted but i think its time for change. you guys know the situation of driving a camry, what would you guys and girls do?
Keep your cam or buy a new cam. Stick with it, in the end you'll be better off with a Camry over almost any car you could possibly buy, plain and simple.
thats how it used to look last year, now it would need so much money to look like that again. i think i just want something new to start with. i didnt want a camry in the first place, it was givin to me by my uncle to get through college cause i needed a reliable car. i wouldnt buy a camry, especially a new one. i dont like the styling of the new ones, the gen 3 is my favorite camry model. i now camrys are reliable, there is no disputing that, they are just not the style of car i would buy if i had a choice.

it set me back 5 grand. the changed the stall converter, stronger clutch packs, adjusted the valve body, trans cooler, synthetic fluids. i blew a nice size hole in my tranny case, so they had to find a new one to replace mine. this jacked up the price a little higher than if you brought you working one in. instead of buying a used one for 1000 i figured better to be prepared for boost because that was the plan. sometimes thing never work out the way you want. i race my car but with the little power i have i cant take full advantage of the tranny, i cant really see how it would have effected my times with this little power.
i really like the evolution's and the sti's. i also like the 350z and even the new mazdaspeed miata. if i could though i would probably go with the evo.
