Transmission Arrived [pics] [56k grin and bear it ;)]
I got my transmission last week, and much to my demise, they fucked up and shipped me an I4 trans instead of a V6. The one I got is in good shape, but does me very little good since I have a V6. They shipped me a new one this week, so now I have to wait for it to traverse the country again. I was in Montana for school when I ordered the first one, so that's where they sent it, but now I'm in Oregon so I'll have to wait until I go to Montana next to pick it up. I still have the I4 trans if anyone on the west coast is interested, the place I bought it from wants to try to sell it to someone more near than far from me.
While I wait for the transmission I'm gonna start working on my interior. I'll save that for another thread.
Pics of this nice transmission that won't fit my car:
There was actually someone on this board who came up yesterday saying his I4 trans was fucked but I can't remember his name. You should perhaps try to contact him
I'm not selling the tranny, the supplier is. I paid $550 for a V6 trans, so they may let it go for less since it is an I4. I'll try to find out today. Not sure about the ratios either.
Userlain: I could have my uncle drop off the tranny in Missoula on his way through in 2 weeks, that is when he'll pick mine up if it's there on time, if not I'll pick it up in mid July when I'm there. I'll PM you if I get more info.
Since it's technically not my transmission, I can't sell parts from it either.
Tercel: I can probably get that lever for you from a local Pick-A-Part. They have a gen2 I4 manual (no motor but trans is there).
Also, the gen2 shift base appears to be the same as the gen3 shift base, so if you need one, they should be easier to find than the gen3.
